₹45 Crores Released for Imams and Muezzins
Andhra Pradesh: On the occasion of Ramadan, the State Government has delivered good news to Imams and Muezzins. It has released ₹45 crores in honorariums that had been pending for the past six months. The government deposited ₹30 crores into the accounts of 5,000 Imams and ₹15 crores into the accounts of 5,000 Muezzins. These funds were released today, fulfilling a promise made by Chief Minister Chandrababu during an Iftar dinner held yesterday.
