Three Years in Jail for Movie Piracy!
Telangana: The Cyber Security Bureau (CSB) is taking measures to curb movie piracy within the state. It has issued a warning that anyone caught engaging in movie piracy faces the possibility of a three-year prison sentence. In a statement, CSB Director Shikha Goel clarified that offenders would face a fine of up to ₹3 lakhs, or a penalty equivalent to 5% of the film's production cost—whichever is applicable. She further announced that an anti-piracy unit has been established jointly in collaboration with the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce.
