AP Has Full Rights Over Godavari Floodwaters
Amaravati: The Association of Retired Engineering Officers of the State Water Resources Department stated that the state possesses complete freedom to construct projects based on Godavari river floodwaters. They questioned the authority of the Union Ministry of Jal Shakti to intervene, noting that the Godavari Water Disputes Tribunal (GWDT) had already established that Andhra Pradesh, as a downstream state, holds full rights to utilize Godavari floodwaters.
