Are you building statues of your leaders with public money: Supreme Court
The Supreme Court has expressed its displeasure over the Tamil Nadu government's move. The court heard a petition filed for the installation of a bronze statue of Karunanidhi at the Valliyur Daily Vegetable Market Public Arch. "Will you use government funds for statues of your leaders? This is unacceptable. Go to the lower court for permission," it said. The state's High Court had earlier rejected the installation of statues in public places.
