Ban on WhatsApp in Russia.. Restrictions on Telegram!
Russia has confirmed that it has banned WhatsApp. The country’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that this decision was taken due to non-compliance with its laws. It was stated that 100 million users have been asked to switch to the domestic messenger app ‘MAX’. However, the authorities denied the allegations that Max is a surveillance app. It is reported that Russia is planning to impose restrictions on ‘Telegram’ in a phased manner.
