Blast Furnace-1 Shutdown Starts Today
Visakhapatnam: Blast Furnace-1 at the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant is being shut down starting Thursday. This decision was reportedly made due to a shortage of coke. Last year, all three blast furnaces were made operational following financial assistance from the Central Government, enabling 100% production capacity. However, production has recently slowed down due to a renewed shortage of raw materials.
