Centre Issues Notices to Telegram Regarding Pirated Content
New Delhi: The Centre has issued notices to the popular messaging app Telegram regarding pirated content. It has directed the platform to curb the widespread dissemination of pirated movies, OTT content, and other audiovisual material. The government has explicitly asked for a comprehensive Action Taken Report (ATR) regarding the measures adopted to address this issue to be submitted within 15 days. The Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting issued these notices on Saturday.
