Low-pressure area intensifies
Visakhapatnam: The low-pressure area that formed two days ago over the northwest Bay of Bengal, adjacent to North Odisha and West Bengal, intensified into a "well-marked low-pressure area" on Saturday. It is associated with a cyclonic circulation and is tilted towards the southwest. Over the next three days, this system is expected to move west-northwestwards towards Odisha and Chhattisgarh. Under its influence, light to moderate rains occurred at several places in the North Coastal region on Saturday.
