Centre Ready for 'Godavari-Kaveri' Interlinking!
Union Minister for Jal Shakti C.R. Patil informed Chief Minister Chandrababu that the Centre is prepared to interlink the Godavari and Kaveri rivers. He stated that a special meeting regarding this matter would be convened with the stakeholder states within two to three weeks. He also assured that he would take the initiative to facilitate an amicable resolution to inter-state water disputes. As part of his visit to Delhi, Chandrababu held separate meetings on Wednesday with Union Ministers C.R. Patil, Piyush Goyal, and Manohar Lal Khattar.
