Do you know why you feel sleepy while reading?
When reading a book, our eyes focus on a single point for an extended period. This increases strain on the eye muscles, leading to fatigue. When the eyes get tired, the brain also requires rest, resulting in drowsiness. Additionally, while reading, the brain performs tasks such as comprehending and memorizing new information, a process that consumes significant energy. Prolonged reading exhausts the brain, prompting it to signal the body that it needs rest. Those very signals manifest in the form of sleep.
