Dussehra celebrations begin in Mysore
The world-famous Mysore Dussehra (Nada Habba) celebrations began on Monday. International Booker Prize-winning author Bhanu Mushtaq inaugurated the celebrations along with Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah. The 11-day festival, which began with a flower shower at the Chamundeshwari temple, will feature cultural programmes and processions. The celebrations, which will culminate with the Jumbo Savari on October 2, showcase the royal heritage and progress of Karnataka.
