Economic growth to slow slightly due to Trump tariffs
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has forecast that India's economic growth will slow down somewhat due to the impact of the tariffs imposed by US President Trump. It said that the economy will grow by 6.5 percent this fiscal year, down from 7.8 percent in the first quarter of this year. It has recently said that the growth will be 0.5 percent, compared to the 7 percent growth forecast in April. It is known that the US has imposed 50 percent tariffs on imports from India.
