Google has applied for the necessary environmental clearances to establish a hyperscale Artificial Intelligence data center on land acquired from the Simhachalam Devasthanam at Adavivaram, near Visakhapatnam. It is a known fact that 160 acres of land have been allocated to Google at this location. In exchange for this, the company has agreed to pay an annual lease amount of ₹26.45 crore to the Devasthanam. Additionally, it is pertinent to note that 266.6 acres of land in Tharluvada (Anandapuram Mandal, Visakhapatnam district) and 174.8 acres belonging to the APIIC in Rambilli (Anakapalli district) have also been allocated.
