Illegal Claim of ₹98.47 Crore Input Tax Credit via Bogus Firms
Hyderabad: State GST officials have arrested T.A. Amir Hasan, the director of 'Shah Batteries,' for illegally claiming Input Tax Credit (ITC) worth ₹98.47 crore by creating bogus firms. In a statement, GST officials revealed that the accused created 17 bogus firms through his associates to claim ITC and subsequently cancelled their GST registration numbers. However, it was discovered that all these firms filed their returns monthly using the same computer.
