JC Diwakar Reddy's Orchard Set Ablame
Peddapappuru (Anantapur): Unidentified miscreants set fire on Monday to the tamarind orchard belonging to former Minister JC Diwakar Reddy, located near Juturu village in the Peddapappuru Mandal of Anantapur district. Tamarind trees had been planted across a total area of 30 acres. In the early hours of Monday morning, unknown individuals set the orchard ablaze. The tamarind trees and drip irrigation pipes were destroyed in the fire. Farmers reported that the incident resulted in a financial loss estimated to be between ₹2 lakhs and ₹3 lakhs.
