Kostyuk and Andreeva Reach Semifinals
Paris: Russian sensation Mirra Andreeva and Ukrainian star Marta Kostyuk have stormed into the French Open semifinals. In the women's singles quarterfinals held on Tuesday, 8th seed Andreeva defeated Sorana Cirstea (Romania) in straight sets, 6-0, 6-3. In another quarterfinal clash featuring two Ukrainian players, Kostyuk pulled off a major upset by defeating 7th seed Svitolina 6-3, 2-6, 6-2. Kostyuk is set to face off against Andreeva in the semifinals scheduled for Thursday.
