New Delhi: India's growth momentum surged at a pace exceeding expectations, even during the West Asia crisis. The GDP growth rate for the first quarter (April–June) of the current financial year (2026–27) was recorded at 7.8 percent. Although slightly lower than the 8.6% growth rate recorded in the quarter ending in January-March of this year, it has shown a significant rebound compared to the 6.9% recorded during the same period in the previous financial year (2025-26).
