Share Market Closing 1 October, 2025: The domestic stock market started the month of October with a strong gain. On Wednesday, the BSE Sensex closed at 80,983.31 points, a massive gain of 715.69 points (0.89%). Similarly, the NSE Nifty 50 index also closed at 24,836.30 points, a gain of 225.20 points (0.92%). It should be noted that today was the last day of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) MPC meeting. RBI Governor Sanjay Malhotra announced the results of the meeting today. Considering the current circumstances, the RBI raised the economic growth forecast for the current financial year to 6.8 percent. It has also reduced the retail inflation forecast to 2.6 percent.
