Revanth Reddy is responsible for the drought in five districts
BRS Legislative Party Deputy Leader Harish Rao has criticized CM Revanth Reddy, attributing the drought in five districts of the state to his incompetence. In Burgupalli, Gajwel mandal of Siddipet district, Harish Rao inspected paddy crops that had withered due to a lack of water and electricity. Questioning the government’s actions, he asked why the motors used to lift water from the Godavari—a vital lifeline for the Warangal districts—via the Devadula project are not being operated 24 hours a day. He further pointed out that even though there is sufficient water at the Srisailam reservoir, the motors there are being operated for only nine hours a day.
