Special Gram Sabhas on August 15 for Independence Day
Amaravati: The Union Ministry of Panchayat Raj has written to all states to organize special village assemblies in village panchayats across the state on the occasion of Independence Day. It has been suggested that village panchayats should encourage people to make good use of non-conventional energy sources through schemes like PM-Kusuma, that panchayats should take steps to provide fodder and sheds for abandoned cattle in villages, and that village panchayats should organize special village assemblies to collect data on 9 issues related to the development of village panchayats.
