Stokes and Atkinson Penalized
London: England captain Ben Stokes and Gus Atkinson have faced disciplinary action following a ‘nightclub’ incident. The England board announced that both players have been dropped from the squad named for the second Test against New Zealand, starting on the 17th of this month. Senior batter Joe Root has been handed temporary charge of the team in Stokes's place. Stokes and Atkinson had violated regulations by visiting a nightclub and getting into an altercation with a rugby player.
