Tensions in the Middle East at a Peak; Global Concern Rises
The conflict between Iran, the U.S., and Israel has intensified significantly on its 18th day. Israel has carried out an airstrike on the Cyber Police Headquarters in Tehran. Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that attacks have been launched against more than 7,000 Iranian targets. According to him, 90 percent of Iran's missile arsenal has been eliminated. Trump has also claimed to have destroyed over 100 Iranian vessels. For its part, Iran continues to launch relentless missile and drone attacks in an effort to terrorize the U.S. and Israel. Iran has struck U.S. bases in Israel and the Gulf nations using 700 missiles and 3,600 drones. Amidst the ongoing conflict, a growing apprehension has emerged regarding the possibility of Israel launching a nuclear strike against Iran. U.S. President Donald Trump has now addressed this very concern.
According to a CNN report, U.S. President Donald Trump stated on Monday that he does not believe Israel will employ nuclear weapons in the ongoing conflict with Iran. Speaking to reporters at the White House, President Trump remarked, "Israel won't do that. Israel would never do that." This statement comes in response to recent suggestions made by David Sacks—the White House's AI and Crypto Czar—during an interview, implying that there were grounds for concern regarding the potential escalation of the conflict by Israel, specifically through the consideration of using nuclear weapons.
**Attacks on Over 7,000 Targets: Trump**
President Trump has claimed that attacks have been carried out against more than 7,000 Iranian targets. Trump stated that, with the exception of the oil-producing facilities on Kharg Island, virtually everything else has been destroyed. President Trump further noted that, to date, over 100 naval vessels—including 30 mine-laying ships—have been destroyed. Additionally, Iran's defense industrial base is being rapidly dismantled, a process that has already resulted in the destruction of more than 90 percent of its missile capabilities. Furthermore, Iran's capacity to manufacture missiles and drones has also dropped to nearly zero.
