Centre Must Take Action on Excessive Urea Usage
Hyderabad: Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao expressed concern that farmers are using fertilizers beyond recommended dosages, thereby damaging soil health, and noted that price disparities are driving farmers to prefer urea. He pointed out that urea consumption in the state has been rising at an extraordinary rate over the past few years and urged the Central Government to take measures to address this excessive usage. He released a statement on Tuesday detailing the figures regarding urea consumption.
