FASTag Mandatory from Tomorrow... Or Else...
FASTag rules are set to change starting tomorrow. Cash payments at toll plazas will be discontinued; all payments must be made exclusively through FASTag. If you do not have a FASTag, or if your balance runs out, you can make the payment using UPI. However, payments made via UPI will incur an additional surcharge of 25%. If neither of these two options works, the vehicle owner will receive an 'e-notice.' If the payment is settled online within 72 hours, no additional fee will be charged; otherwise, the driver will be required to pay double the standard toll amount.
