Relief for CEC Gyanesh Kumar in the Rajya Sabha
Rajya Sabha Chairman C.P. Radhakrishnan has rejected the impeachment motion filed by the TMC against Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar. Notably, 193 MPs had signed this motion, demanding the removal of the CEC. Alleging that the CEC is acting in favor of the BJP, opposition leaders had introduced impeachment motions in both Houses of Parliament. Meanwhile, the motion remains pending in the Lok Sabha.
