Gas Production from Waste: 5 Plants to be Established
Andhra Pradesh: The state government has approved the establishment of plants to convert solid waste generated in urban areas into Compressed Bio-Gas (CBG). New plants are set to be established in Rajahmundry, Nellore, Guntur, and Ongole, while the existing plant in Vijayawada is slated for an upgrade. To facilitate this initiative, the government has granted administrative approval amounting to ₹59.85 crore. Each CBG plant will have a processing capacity of 25 tonnes per day.
