Nifty Back Above 24,000
Mumbai: Amid positive cues from global markets, equity indices surged significantly as investors increased buying activity in banking and financial services sector stocks. In Friday's trading session, the Sensex settled at 77,550.25, posting a gain of 918.60 points. The Nifty closed at 24,050.60, rising by 275.50 points. The total market capitalization of BSE-listed companies reached ₹451.23 lakh crore (US$ 4.87 trillion), recording an increase of ₹6.44 lakh crore.
