Oh My! Lemons—Prices Skyrocket
Andhra Pradesh: With rising temperatures, lemon prices have soared. The price per kilogram—which stood at ₹10 in January and ₹30 just three weeks ago—has now reached ₹130–135. Farmers are distressed, noting that despite the price hike, yields have plummeted drastically due to changing weather conditions. They state that while they previously harvested 40 bags per acre, they are now failing to secure even 15 bags. Meanwhile, common people are facing hardships due to these inflated prices.
