Caution: Highest Temperatures of the Season Recorded
Andhra Pradesh: The APSDMA (Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority) has advised the public to remain vigilant regarding severe heat conditions and unseasonal rains accompanied by lightning. The authority reported that today—marking the highest temperature recorded so far this summer season—a temperature of 44.1 degrees Celsius was recorded in Karapa, Kakinada District. It further stated that tomorrow, there is a possibility of severe heatwave conditions in 66 mandals, and general heatwave conditions in 79 mandals. The APSDMA advised people to wear hats, cotton clothing, and sunglasses when venturing outdoors in the sun. It also indicated that rain accompanied by lightning may occur in several places tomorrow.
