Tamil Nadu Elections: Congress Announces 27 Candidates
Chennai: On Friday, the Congress party released a list of 27 candidates who will be contesting in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. As part of the DMK-led alliance, the Congress is once again contesting in these elections. K. Selvaperunthagai, the party's state unit president, is contesting once again from the Sriperumbudur constituency. In the previous elections, he had also contested from Sriperumbudur and emerged victorious, defeating AIADMK candidate K. Palani by a margin of 11,000 votes.
