Eyewitnesses have revealed key details about the stampede in Karur, Tamil Nadu. They said that the stampede started as soon as Vijay reached the meeting venue. ‘Vijay arrived at 7 o’clock. Many people climbed trees and electric poles, so the authorities cut the power. Some people lost consciousness due to the stampede. The police lathi-charged as ambulances faced difficulties in reaching there,’ they explained.
