UPI Sees 'Raksha Bandhan' Boost
New Delhi: Transactions via the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) for digital payments are surging. An all-time record of 2,451 crore transactions was registered in August, with a total value of ₹29.8 lakh crore. The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) revealed that Raksha Bandhan was a key factor driving the surge in transactions this month. Transactions worth a record high of ₹29.9 lakh crore were recorded in the months of May and July.
