Maiden Call-up for Aquib Nabi
Jammu & Kashmir pacer Aquib Nabi has earned his maiden call-up to the Indian squad. The BCCI announced on Monday that he has been named as a replacement for Bumrah for the two-Test series against Sri Lanka. Bumrah had previously been ruled out of the Sri Lanka tour due to a knee injury. Hailing from a remote village in the Baramulla district of Kashmir, the 29-year-old Nabi has demonstrated his prowess by claiming a combined total of 104 wickets over the last two Ranji seasons. Notably, he took 60 wickets last season and played a pivotal role in helping the Jammu & Kashmir team secure the Ranji Trophy title for the first time.
