Rakhi Festival Business: ₹30,000 Crore
New Delhi: Rakhi symbolizes the bond between brothers and sisters. The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has estimated that nationwide sales of Rakhis could reach approximately ₹25,000 crore this year. CAIT states that when purchases of sweets, dry fruits, gifts, clothing, electronics, and other related products for the Rakhi Purnima festival (falling on the 28th of this month) are included, the total business volume is expected to exceed ₹30,000 crore. The association noted that the Delhi market alone is projected to account for a share of ₹4,000 crore.
